How it works
What’s the recipe for successful coaching? Well, I see it as similar to putting together a puzzle. We’ll start with the frame, but the process of filling it in is non-linear … just like life.
A goal for every coaching conversation, though, is to create a space where you get to be both who you truly are and where you actually are — no masks, no performing, no adapting for someone else's comfort.
Within that space, the work is collaborative. Your part is to talk about where you’re stuck & struggling. My role is to help you figure out where you want to go and to learn the tools and skills you need to get there. Then, you get to take that learning out into the world and apply it.
We meet twice a month for about an hour, by phone or video. Between sessions, I'm available for async support via text or email, because life doesn't always wait for appointments.
A little about me
I’m Steve — a coach and licensed therapist (CA MFT license #MFC43212) with over 20 years of experience. My own struggles with feeling like an outsider who was "too sensitive" and "too nice" during my 20s left me overwhelmed, angry, and ultimately depressed. My healing & recovery journey led me to this work, and since then I've had the privilege of supporting hundreds of people on their growth journeys.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me reading, playing games with my family, making music, or eating pizza & drinking something fizzy.
